Maine AG Rules Shooting of Biker Justified | Maine News, Sports, Weather - Portland, ME - WPFO FOX23 - MyFOXMaine.com | News: "state of Maine has justified the shooting death of 58-year-old Thomas Mayne, the Outlaws motorcycle gang member who was killed in a shootout with ATF agents in June.

The Attorney General's office says federal authorities were justified in shooting and killing Mayne on June 15 in Old Orchard Beach. Police say Mayne refused to submit to arrest and fired at them.

Mayne was one of several bikers wanted on federal gang charges connected to a sting stretching all the way to Virginia. A jury found several of the bikers arrested in that sting guilty earlier this year."
