One of the top members of a Quebec Hells Angels chapter was arrested Monday after a year and a half on the lam.
Marvin Ouimet, 39, was arrested by the Surete du Quebec around 4:30 p.m. Monday after he was found in a taxi in Montreal.
Ouimet — who also went by the aliases of Kasper and Andy — was wanted on a warrant over allegations of Hells-linked criminal activities, including murder, drug-trafficking, fraud, extortion and money-laundering charges.
Police had been searching for Ouimet since April
Ouimet will appear in court 2009, when a major police sweep picked up numerous members of the infamous biker gang.
He was the president of the Trois-Rivieres chapter.
