The feature currently doesn't seem to exist (or may be hidden).
In which version? For Win/Lin or the OS X beta?

-aggie- is so called seer. I trust that. Chrmjenkins seems clean. I know I'm not. So it's him left. lbro as well, but I don't get that vibe from him.
What vibe exactly am I not sending out? In all of the games I've played, I have never had a role other than plain ordinary villager. This game is no different.
I agree that -aggie- and Chrmjenkins are most likely not wolves. Not sure about you or lbro. But you were awfully quick to single me out, which smacks of some hidden furriness on your part. So my vote is for you, jav6454.

Yargggh me crappy ATT! Who cares data speed isn't really the weakpoint right now.

That's not even possible, is it? I thought the iPhone is capped by hardware at 7.2 Mbps?

You just demonstrated the risk of closed formats and DRM. Suppose a superior product does become available. That superior product would have hard time competing, since iPod-users are tied to FairPlay (if they have used iTunes that is).
That said: there has been rumors that Microsoft would make the songs the user has bought from iTunes available to "switchers" for free, eliminating the FairPlay-lock in (by replacing it with another lock-in).
Yes, I mentioned the switch for free rumours in my post.
As for using this as a critique of DRM, Apple and Microsoft will use DRM. The old rent-a-tune subscription model applied to WMAs will, no doubt, not be the only model offered by Microsoft. As for whether DRM is a good idea or not, while I hate it, the fact is that consumers are buying huge numbers of DRM-protected files, and our debates about the merits of DRM are just whistling in the wind.

Some Apple patents are just "out there" and don't sound useful in practice. I never expect to see them in a product.
But THIS sounds actually very useful--the problem of whether a keyboard hogs the screen or not is solved, etc. etc.
Apple's hiring says they're serious about touch computing. For an iPod? For a Mac? And when? I can't wait to find out!

Why is Apple always trying to make money with all their products and services, what other company does this ;)
Why can't all Apple products and services be free, I deserve it :D
thank you, someone who truly understands! I for one appreciate apple is a company which pours it's profits into MASSIVE R & D expenditures or makes fiscally responsible decisions with it's cash so that we all benefit with superior products, services and support, I am one extremely satisfied customer. anyone who whines should take their baby talk elsewhere, geez...

I have a white 32gb wifi in a sealed box that I want to exchange for a 32GB black AT&T. If anyone wants to trade plus difference in cash, let me know.
Would you be willing to sell it? Since you would have to wait in line to exchange anyways?
I have a friend that is REALLY looking for a 32 gig white one. He leaves back to Arizona in a couple days, it would mean a lot if you considered it.

Just a note. If you look at the average of the average time between updates you discover that there are, amongst all the products, a 192 days period between updates.
Currently only 177 days have passed since the last update to the MBP. Oct 26 would be Mac Expo in the UK. If they anounced then (185 days) and shipped one week later they would be at the average (192 exactly).
Also noting that major US and Euro retailers are out of stock or low on stock is also a fairly good indicator.
Finally, I think it would be pretty damn sad if after 192 days of updating they merely give us a .16 processor upgrade...

I am a little surprised that there have been no leaked photos or specs or anything (thinking back to the MBP refresh).
I really hope the release is tomorrow though, 5 months without a home computer (I'm a software engineer too!) has killed me.

By that same vein, what has Apple ever developed that's anything close to a OS ? And no, Mac OS X, a bunch of components bought/taken from the open source community doesn't count... it's just a Unix distribution with a GUI layer on top.
It's easy to discount anything going with that mentality. The fact is, Chrome OS is as much an undertaking as OS X was. It's more than just a "Web browser" since web browsers cannot be booted and don't provide graphical sub-systems, input management and process scheduling obviously.
(yes, I do realise Mac OS Classic existed).
And to answer your question directly : Android. ;)
Ahhh.... Google bought that. And given Android is based on open source, don't you think your argument on OSX is rather weak?

Oh Apple Mail has a To Do list. And Notes. But the Calendar is a separate app, as is the Address Book. So why not also have a separate To Do and Notes application? Oh, because they're stored as special formatted email messages in Mail.app, that's why. So how about integrating Calendar and Address Book better in Mail. It's a mess.

I've seen the blue screen on XP. It's funny because I've been told by Windows users that it doesn't exist in XP, yet I witnessed it two weeks ago when a colleague of mine was trying to do something with Adobe Acrobat. The program just spazzed and the blue screen came up.
The reason you don't see it much is because the new default in XP is to just reboot the machine instead of sitting on that screen. It's still there.

If you don't have a daughter, then you don't have a clue.
I have seen some transgenders, and I have nothing to say to them.
That's ridiculous. You don't need to have a daughter to know that sexual harassment of any person, of any age or gender, is wrong.
Besides, I'd rather have my child be in a room with a transgender than be in a room with you. If they recognized a transgender and asked questions, I could answer their question adequately enough. For violent people like you, and the girls in that video, all I could tell them is that some people are ****ed.
I can understand that you want to protect your daughter, like you said. Can you explain exactly what you'd be protecting your daughter from, in this case? You seem to think that simply being a transgender and going to the bathroom is a crime against your daughter.

A friend in IT was all over his new EVO, saying and trying to show how superior it was to his old iPhone. Within a month or two the EVO was gone, replaced with an iPhone4. Why? He said it was a dead end. While a few things were really nice, it was buggy, there were too few apps, and it was just no fun to use.
Life should be fun, not fraught with glitches and a tool that had no soul.
That's what's been happening with a lot of people, they try all the "iPhone killers" and swear by them for a week or so, then all they do is complain and say I wish I got an iPhone! Most of the people I know that went that route are iPhone owners now.:apple:

Also, the first MBA didn't have it, and they introduced it in the B revision. So they have been able to squeeze it in before where they weren't initially.
It would be a nice selling point for the upgraded model (as opposed to the base model), same as they did with the PowerBook for a while.
Not True. The first MBA DID have it.
This ... from ZDNet:
"The worst part about the backlight’s omission is that the original MacBook Air (circa 2008) had a keyboard backlight. Obviously, there’s no technical reason that it couldn’t be done, so why did Apple drop it from the 2010 MBA?
It can’t be a price issue. How much does a keyboard backlight LED cost in Apple quantities? A dollar? You can’t make the case for battery life either, because it’s easily turned off in System Preferences.
So why did Apple really drop the keyboard backlight in the new MBA? Planned obsolescence, my friend. How much do you want to bet that the 2011 model has a keyboard backlight?"
