"Titanic" is Openning Space for "Avatar"

Yesterday , Avatar Received two "Golden Globe" awards which it perfectly deserved.
Surprisingly I went to check that how is the Avatar BOX OFFICE doing until today & it amazed me:
This is until last weekend.
I checked the Record of what "Titanic" was about in BOX OFFICE terms in 1997 & found out that it was even lower within this time and some other facts were involved to get to the conclusion that "Avatar" will break the box office record of all time:
1. Avatar is still selling fantastic in Cinemas (even in US , Canada , Australia , Malaysia ... countries that it has started its sale more than 1 month , halls are still packed every night)
2. Avatar is mostly about 3d experience and audiences will go to cinema instead of watching it later at home
3. Avatar has sold more until now , comparing to what titanic have sold in the same period

considering late shows which began in January for china, Georgia, Italy, Argentina, Pakistan & ... simply this will break the ice of Titanic soon in 2-3 weeks.

Avatar Only One Step to Cinema History Best Seller

Within the past few days, "Avatar" Movie has moved higher & higher in terms of sales; Before this weekend it hit the amount of $1,142,000,000 in Box Office.

Until now it was "Titanic" by $1,835,300,000 the first best seller by the same director "James Cameron" & 2nd was "The Lord of the Rings/Return of the King" with $1,129,219,252.

Considering that some countries like China & Italy have just started their show a few days ago, it may be possible for this new movie of Cameron, to break the old one.

Not to forget that until now, "Avatar" is the nominee for 4 Golden Globe Awards which will happen in Jan 17.

"Avatar" ... Goddes of movies personification

I Must say I've seen a masterpiece again by James Cameron. "Avatar" was a brilliant well-shaped, fascinating movie which was almost the best of its own genre up until now in my opinion. The idea was far beyond what I could imagine and nothing was predictable in a sense which can make a viewer relax and enjoy only the 3D experience. I felt my heart beating in a few scenes and it was making me shocked to see my heart actually out of my own control.
Using some non-star actors and actresses (almost) and creating this new era in the 3D cinema was a work of artist called "James Cameron" Only & Only.

I searched for the meaning of "AVATAR" and I found it's coming from "Hindu Mythology" ... something like the reincarnation of God, some manifest or personification of the powerful. The whole idea of movie was making every viewer to think as much as every person is capabale of thinking.
There are many movies which are deep and thinkable, but not every movie can make every machined mankind think. In every hall I've ever been where there was a great movie screening , there were some audiences who leave. Some audiences who yawn. It's great to create deep movies for special audiences and let the rest go for their surface lives. However once in a while there is a need to create something a bit more difficult. Something which can force every one of us man kinds and 21st century humans of popcorn & coca & facebook think a little more about our obsolete existence; to think a little wider than home, money and family.

It was a few years I didn't enjoy any masterpiece. Many may not agree with my opinion; but believe me I can feel people when they pass upon me getting out of the cinema corridors at 4 am. I can sense their inner character which has been shaked and this does not happen easily or by chance.

Inglourious Basterds ... Great as Expected!

Tonight I found out the movie is on the show here in Malaysia. No waiting & I bought two tickets online & made it for 11:30 pm to the cinema.
In my opinion it was Quentin Tarantino's best movie after Pulp Fiction. I liked it more than Kill Bill, However am sure many will not agree.
As for always there a few scenes of blood and deep violence which made my wife not to look at it! So, ladies must be prepared!

Brad Pitt made a good appearance although it wasn't one of his movies that much and he didn't have that much of opportunity to be "the star".

I rated it 8/10 in my IMDB account!
A must see for all Tarantino's lovers , Suggested for all movie lovers and good to see for those who seek a bit of differentiation in films.

The Eights Day

Sometimes I wish was George. (Try to pronounce George in French Accent) By this George I mean the character in the Movie “Le huitième jour” (The Eights Day). Its a French movie from the director "Jaco Van Dormael" who made this movie in 1996 & after that didn’t actually directed any other movie until this year.

I remember I watched it around 1998 for the first time and it was a wonderful night, the night I watched it for the first time. I was about 18 years. Years have gone now and I decided to watch it again, this time with my wife and a few friends. It was still amazing, still heart shaking and very impressive. I can’t believe how life could be simple and fun. I can’t believe how mankind has made it so difficult to live and this much complicated. When you watch George that he is so happy with a few songs that he knows and when you see this guy who will simply express his feelings to anyone he likes... Its awesome!

Try to find it and watch. It will really be one of your favorite movies all time because this is a different movie.
The story he has about how God has created the stuff within 7 days and what happened in the 8th day is sure the best quote of this movie. It's fascinating
!
