Compo for bikie bashing victim Courier Mail: "GOLD Coast man who had his ears cut off in a bikie revenge attack has been awarded more than $32,000 in criminal compensation. But the victim, David John Holmes, stands to gain an even bigger payout as the money awarded today was for other injuries sustained in the grisly assault.
Holmes was kidnapped from his home by Currumbin-based Lone Wolf bikie gang members in November 2007 after he was blamed for $40,000 in missing drug money.
He was taken into the Currumbin Valley where he was bashed, had his ears sliced off and left for dead.
The self-confessed ear-cutter, Aaron Drew Scheers, was sentenced to 16 years' jail for the brutal crime earlier this year.
Fellow bikies Scott Anthony Holland and Benjamin James Denhen were jailed for four years and three years respectively for their roles."
